Pulse 360 employee engagement platform designed to improve performance, feedback, and organisational insight through self-assessment, real-time feedback, and people analytics. Product aimed to increase employee participation and provide organisations with actionable data on teams and individuals.
Role: Lead Product Designer responsible for end-to-end product design from concept through to launch. Worked closely with founders and stakeholders to define the product, lead research, design the experience, and establish design processes.
Context: Early-stage product built to address low engagement with traditional employee feedback and performance tools. Existing solutions were often top-down, with limited value for individual employees and low participation rates.
Problem:
Low engagement in employee feedback systems. Users saw little personal value in providing feedback, leading to minimal participation and limited communication between employees and management. Organisations lacked meaningful insight into performance and sentiment.
Approach:
Conducted interviews and surveys across multiple organisational roles, from leadership to individual contributors. Identified key behavioural drivers and gaps in user motivation. Facilitated workshops to define product direction and engagement strategy. Designed end-to-end user journeys and introduced an iterative design and testing process.
Solution:
Defined the core product experience from 0→1, focusing on making feedback personally valuable and engaging. Introduced gamification and comparative insights to encourage participation. Designed key features including personal dashboards (Me Insights), feedback systems, and leadership analytics dashboards. Delivered product across web and mobile platforms.
Outcome:
Increased feedback engagement by approximately 300% through redesigned experience and gamification. Delivered a live product with improved participation and communication. Established a scalable engagement model and product foundation later developed further within FSP.
Characteristics:
0→1 product design, behavioural design, B2B SaaS, employee engagement, data-driven UX, measurable impact, web and mobile platforms, startup-to-enterprise transition.
